All guests, whether booking in person, by telephone, via our website, or by any other means, will be deemed to have agreed to the following conditions:
a) they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions and general information pages contained on our website;
b) they understand and accept the risks involved in outdoor activities and have read and accepted the terms of the Liability Waiver and Release;
c) the person making the booking confirms that he/she is at least 18 years old and has full authority to make the booking on the basis of these conditions on behalf of all persons named on the booking and confirms that all such persons are fully aware of and accept these conditions.
Your booking will not be final until (a) the full payment (or deposit, as applicable) of the tour has been processed and (b) you provide all required information in the Customer Questionnaire at the end of the booking process.
The Terms and Conditions and the Liability Waiver and Release are implicitly agreed at the time of the booking. The Liability Waiver and Release must be signed before the start of any tour.
The booking and payment process is powered by Xola. Xola's payment processor is level 1 PCI compliant, which is the highest level of credit card security. Xola’s online checkout is also secured by Norton Securities. Xola charges an additional 3% Administrative Fee at check out to process the booking.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Payment for any of our tours is made:
- with a 50% deposit at the time of the booking if the tour is more than 60 days away (with the remaining 50% paid on the scheduled tour date);
- in full at the time of booking otherwise.
If you need to cancel your tour for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible.
-
A full refund (of the full price of the tour or deposit, as relevant) is provided, subject to a $20 administration fee per person, if you cancel 30 days or more before the scheduled tour.
-
No refund will be provided if cancellation is made less than 30 days before a tour or if there is a No Show. For any tour booked with a 50% deposit, the remaining 50% of the full price of the tour will be charged to your credit card on the cancellation/No Show date. You will therefore incur a loss of the full price of the tour.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance (including a cancellation policy).
If you want to reschedule your tour, please contact us as soon as possible to check the availability. We will try to accommodate any change in date or tour but with no guarantee. Any difference in the price of the rescheduled tour will be settled using the original credit card, subject to a $20 administration fee per person.
Under very rare circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure due to inclement weather conditions or for other safety reasons. In the event we cancel, we will provide you with a full refund.
We may also re-route a tour to another local venue due to road conditions. Should we face any mechanical problem, we will try to fix the situation on a best effort basis. If the tour has to be shortened, we will provide you with a prorated portion of the tour price as a refund.
Required Information and Forms
We request our guests to fill in the Customer Questionnaire at the end of the booking process in order to have all relevant information in advance of a tour.
Also, outdoor activities in such remote and wild lands involve some potential hazards and risks that we have to bring to our guests' attention. We ask our guests to fully read and sign the Liability Waiver and Release before the start of their tour.
Permits
Our Special Use Permits only cover our guides. Therefore all guests must obtain the relevant permits in advance of their tour. Please read further on the BLM Permits.
Guiding Instructions
Our experienced guides will provide you with general instructions at the start of your tour including, but not limited to, safety requirements and hiking etiquette (see Responsible Tourism). You will be responsible for following such instructions.
Any abusive or rude attitude towards the guide, other guests or hikers, or any behavior that could compromise the safety of the tour may lead to the early termination of the tour at the guide's discretion. No refund will be issued in these cases.
Also any prohibited activity on public land may be reported by the guide to the relevant authorities.
By booking a tour with us, you agree to take full responsibility for your actions on public land.
